Affected Communities:
District of Lillooet, Electoral Area A, Electoral Area B

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has advised that work on the reconstruction of Highway 99, at the Ten Mile Slide, 16km north of Lillooet, was completed earlier today.

Highway closures are no longer in effect.

The highway has been restored to 2 lanes.

Weight restrictions of 50% legal axle load are still in effect, and will continue to be so until settlement and movement rates of the new material have slowed.

The Ministry’s engineers and surveyors will continue to monitor the movement rates with the hopes of removing/reducing load restrictions in 1-2 weeks.

CVSE is providing enhanced enforcement and will continue to do so until the weight restrictions are lifted. Traffic operations will be updated and communicated through dynamic message signs (on both sides of the project) and on DriveBC.
