MAP

  • From Whistler Village take the Valley Trail under Highway 99 towards the Whistler Valley Golf Course.
  • From the golf course parking lot follow the Valley Trail south, through Alta Vista to Lakeside Park, then carry on past Wayside Park toward Whistler Creekside, and past Alpha Lake Park to the highway.
  • Cross Highway 99, enter the Bayshores neighbourhood and follow the Valley Trail up Cheakamus Way, over the crest, to Millars Pond Park.
  • From the south-east corner of Millars Pond Park take the Valley Trail south through the Spring Creek neighbourhood, and follow the Valley Trail to Cheakamus Lake Road. Turn left and follow the Valley Trail beside the Cheakamus Lake Road. Turn right onto Legacy Way, cross the bridge over the Cheakamus River and towards the Cheakamus Crossing neighbourhood (the 2010 Athletes' Village).
  • As you enter the neighbourhood, turn right onto Jane Lakes Road and follow the road past the capped landfill (which is now the site of community gardens and a BMX track). Watch for the Sea to Sky Trail sign on the right side of the road. This is the trailhead to 5 kilometers of brilliant new trail to the Cal-Cheak Recreation Site. Enjoy! This section perfectly captures the spirit of the Sea to Sky Trail.
    • After a couple of kilometres you will go through a series of tight switchbacks, then across a small creek and on to a forestry road. Turn right, and ride down the hill to the new suspension bridge over the Cheakamus River.
    • Cross the bridge and follow the trail until you can see the highway (on the right). Bear left here and follow the trail to the dirt road at the Cal-Cheak Recreation Site.
    • NOTE - the Cal-Cheak Recreation Site is a great place for camping, parking, washrooms and water. Drivers should watch for signage from Highway 99, a few kilometres north of Brandywine Park.
  • Follow the Cal-Cheak Forest Service Road (past the Recreation Site) to the Whistler Bungee Bridge (a public bridge) and cross. From there, follow the trail to Brandywine Falls Provincial Park. Enjoy the spectacular basalt ponds and views of Daisy Lake.
