Fire Services Review Request for Propsals
The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) requests Proposals from qualified fire service management consultants to provide a thorough review of all aspects of the provision of fire services in the SLRD. This review will involve an assessment of:
a. governance structures, including fire service establishment policies, bylaws, statutory responsibilities and liabilities, and contractual and other liabilities;
b. operational requirements and policies (field work required); and
c. administrative responsibilities and oversight;of the SLRD in light of current legal requirements and acceptable standards relating to the delivery of fire services in BC.
Recommendations must avoid generalities and provide, to the extent possible, specific guidance and support for options and courses of action open to the SLRD with respect to each subject area, thereby indicating not only what ought to be done, but also how to do it.
