Legislative and Corporate Services serves as the link between the Regional District Board, staff and the general public. The department is responsible for:
- Board and Committee meetings administration including preparing and distributing agendas and minutes; delegations; meeting schedule and; meeting technology.
- Board Resolutions and Proclamations
- Board Policies
- Bylaws
- Legislative Services (including Elections, By-Elections, Assent Voting, and Alternate Approval Processes)
- Property/Facility Leases and Crown Tenures
- Privacy requirements under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
- Reception Services
- Records and Information Management
- Other legislative requirements under the Local Government Act and the Community Charter and other Legislation
The Director of Legislative and Corporate Services also acts as the SLRD’s Corporate Officer and the Freedom of Information Officer.
