CREATE Forum Summary Report

The Community & Regional Economic Action - Together For Everyone (CREATE) Forum was held on Friday, October 14, 2016 at the P'eg'ig'lha Community Centre at T'it'q'et in Lillooet, BC. The Forum brought together representatives of St'át'imc and local governments, business and community organizations, and other citizens involved or interested in community economic development. The purpose of the day was to build networks, share information, and inspire collective action for community economic development in the northern SLRD / northern St'át'imc Territory.  

Growing Healthy Communities: Lillooet gets ready to Grow Local

NEWS RELEASE

LILLOOET - Residents of the northern St'át'imc territory and the greater Lillooet region will be growing more local food in 2017 as the Lillooet Agriculture and Food Society (LAFS) begins its "Growing Healthy Communities" project.

The project is a result of the Society's successful application to the B.C. government's Grow Local Program for $25,000.

ALC Subdivision Application - 212 McNary Road (Texas Creek)

The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) received an ALC Subdivision Application (55725) proposing the subdivision of 212 McNary Road into 3 lots – 2.5 hectares, 2.5 hectares and 3 hectares respectively. The property is located within the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR) in the Texas Creek area of Electoral Area B of the SLRD and is zoned Rural Resource 1 (RR1) in Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Electoral Area B Zoning Bylaw No. 1300-2013.

Northern Economic Development & Initiatives - 29 November 2016

The Northern Economic Development and Initiatives Committee (“NEDI”) is a Standing Committee of the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) Board, appointed to consider and report to the Board from time to time or whenever desired by the Board on all matters referred to it or coming within its purview, and to make recommendations to the Board regarding such matters.

Meetings are open to the public and are generally held in the District of Lillooet Council Chambers, 615 Main Street, Lillooet BC.
