Evacuation ORDER - Mission Mountain Road area - Electoral Area A & B
Pursuant to Section 12 (1) of the Emergency Program Act, an Evacuation Order has been issued by the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District due to immediate danger to life safety caused by the K71535 Casper Creek wildfire burning out of control in the Seton Portage area.
Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and other applicable agencies will be expediting this action.
Lillooet Landfill & Recycling Centre Engagement
The SLRD is seeking input from residents, businesses, and industries, to determine priority services and address current and future solid waste management needs of the Lillooet Landfill & Recycling Centre.

Evacuation ALERT RESCINDED for Connel Creek to Pemberton Portage Road - Electoral Area B & C- Casper Creek Wildfire K71535
Based on consultation with the British Columbia Wildfire Service, the SLRD has assessed that potential danger to life and health due to the wildfire has subsided to the degree that the current Evacuation Alert is no longer required.
Effective August 9 at 1430 hrs, the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District has rescinded the Evacuation Alert applying to the following area:

Upcoming Office and Facility Closures
- The SLRD Administration Office, located at 1350 Aster Street in Pemberton, BC, will be closed on Monday, August 7, for the BC Day statutory holiday. Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, August 8.
- The Lillooet Landfill and Recycling Centre, located at 405 Landfill Road, in Lillooet, BC, will be closed on Monday, August 7, for the BC Day statutory holiday. The facility will be open Tuesday, August 8 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Regular hours will resume Wednesday, August 9.

LILLOOET, BC – The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) continues to work closely with BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) and all other agencies involved in the response to the Bendor Range Complex wildfires.
There are currently Evacuation Orders and Alerts in place, within the SLRD, in response to the Downton Lake wildfire (K71649) and the Casper Creek wildfire (K71535).

Based on recommendations from BC Wildfire Service, the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District and Tsal’alh Chief and Council have issued an Expanded Evacuation Alert.
Because of the potential danger to life and health, the Expanded Evacuation Alert area now
includes the area between Mission Mountain Road (the end of the SLRD Evacuation Order)
and Madeline Creek, as outlined on the attached map.

Based on recommendations from BC Wildfire, an Evacuation Alert has been issued by the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District.
The Casper Creek Fire (K71535), is burning out of control above Highline Road, between Six Mile Creek and Sundquist Creek. The BC Wildfire Service – Lillooet Fire Zone is actively responding.

Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and other applicable agencies will be expediting this action.
