The SLRD Board, at its December 14, 2022 meeting, adopted Bylaw No. 1786-2022 (Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Catiline Creek Debris Flow Mitigation Service Establishing Bylaw No. 1786-2022) and 1787-2022 (Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Catiline Creek Debris Flow Mitigation Service Loan Authorization Bylaw 1787-2022).
Evacuation Order - Reid Road - Electoral Area C

Please note: This is an amendment to a previous Evacuation Order
Pursuant to Section 12 (1) of the BC Emergency Program Act, an Evacuation Order has been issued by the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District due to immediate danger to life safety caused by a landslide hazard at Jason Creek, near Reid Road- Electoral Area C.
The Evacuation Order is in effect for the following area:
- 1781 Reid Road

Current details: Potential for winter weather Tuesday through Wednesday morning.
Hazards: Outflow conditions with strong winds, sub-zero temperatures and cold windchill. Snow is expected, with significant accumulations transitioning to rain, leading to poor travel conditions—a slight risk of freezing rain for parts of the Fraser Valley.

The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) is seeking interest from qualified persons with the appropriate certifications, experience, and expertise to concurrently provide FireSmart Project Coordinator and Local FireSmart Representative services within each of the SLRD’s four Electoral Areas (A, B, C, and D). Proponents with local knowledge, existing stakeholder, and community relationships within each of the electoral areas are preferred to facilitate a higher level of buy-in to the residential FireSmart program.

Pemberton, BC – The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) and Lil’wat Construction Enterprises (LCE) have entered into an agreement that will see LCE take over the operations and servicing of the Pemberton Transfer Station, for a three-year term, plus renewal rights, effective November 1, 2022.
