Notice of Hazard
The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District has received a copy of an article entitled
“Hazard and risk from large landslides from Mount Meager volcano, British Columbia, Canada”
that has been published in the journal Georisk: Assessment and Management of Risk for Engineered Systems and Geohazards. The article identifies a safety risk to persons and property from debris flows in the Mount Meager and Lillooet River valley areas as far south as the head of Lillooet Lake.
A copy of the article has been placed in the Pemberton Public Library and the article is accessible on the Regional District’s website.
