Snowfall Warning issued for Whistler area (including Pemberton, SLRD Area C and parts of SLRD Area D)

Note from the SLRD: The Snowfall Warning below was issued by Environment Canada, and impacts the Resort Community of Whistler, Village of Pemberton, SLRD Electoral Area C and the northeastern part of SLRD Electoral Area D. Travel throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor will also be impacted. Please adjust your travel plans and driving habits accordingly and arrive safely at your destination. 


Snowfall, with total amounts of 20 to 25 cm is expected.

A front moving across the BC south coast is spreading heavy snow to the Whistler area. Eight centimetres of snow has fallen early this afternoon. Further snowfall accumulation of up to 15 to 20 centimetres is expected by Thursday morning.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
