Hwy 99 CLOSED between Hwy 12 and Hwy 97 due to wildfire

UPDATE: August 15, 2017 4:15 pm - Highway 99 is now OPEN between Lillooet and the junction with Highway 97 (north of Cache Creek). 

UPDATE: August 5, 2017 5:00pm - Limited access though this section of Highway 99 with pilot vehicle only. Expect lengthy delays. Check www.drivebc.ca (Highway 99) for updates. ___________________________________________________________________________________

Please be advised that Highway 99 is closed north of Lillooet between the junction with Highway 12 and the junction with Highway 97 due to the current wildfire situation. Highway 99 south from Lillooet through the Sea to Sky Corridor remains open. 

Local traffic can still access Highway 99 from the Lillooet side only, and only as far as Marble Canyon. Please be prepared to show proof of residence. There is no access to Highway 99 from the Highway 97/Cache Creek side. 

The clsoure will remain in place until further notice. Check www.drivebc.ca (Highway 99) for updates. 

Detour Route:

  • From Lillooet, travel south on Highway 12 to Lytton and proceed north to Cache Creek on Highway 1. 
  • From Cache Creek, travel south on Highway 1 to Lytton and proceed north to Lillooet on Highway 12.
