Evacuation Alert Rescinded for Magee Road Fire

The evacuation alert issued in relation to the Magee Road Fire has now been rescinded.

The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District has been advised by the BC Wildfire Service Incident Commander that the danger from the Magee Road fire has decreased to the point that it is currently safe to lift the Evacuation Alert for the following areas:

  • Squamish Valley Road, from the Pilchuk Bridge to the northern end of Squamish Valley Road, both sides, and including all side roads in this area and including Butterfly Lake.
  • As a result of this notice, no properties in SLRD Electoral Area D remain on Evacuation Alert for the Magee Road fire (V30067).
