The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) has upgraded the Evacuation Alert for Lillooet Lake Estates, Heather Jean Properties and other identified properties within Electoral Area C to an EVACUATION ORDER.
The SLRD has been advised by the Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development (MFLNRORD) that a wildfire burning above Lillooet Lake and the In-SHUCK-ch Forest Service Road, combined with periods of precipitation that are forecast to exceed 5mm per hour, has created conditions that present an imminent risk of a debris flow from the McCullock Creek drainage. Conditions are also predictive of a debris flow from the Catiline Creek drainage.
Everyone located in the following properties must evacuate immediately:
- Lillooet Lake Estates,
- Heather Jean Properties, and
- All other properties as outlined on the map
Evacuation route is north along the In-SHUCK-ch Forest Service Road towards the Village of Pemberton.
Recreational Property Owners: Please return to your fulltime residence. Only fulltime residents of Lillooet Lake Estates and Heather Jean Properties are eligible for emergency support services, including accommodation.
For emergency accommodation, please go to:
- The Pemberton Valley Lodge, 1490 Highway 99, Pemberton, BC V0N 2L1
Residents will be checked in and contacted by phone by a Canadian Red Cross representative for emergency support services.
For general questions about the Evacuation Order please contact the SLRD at: 604-698-6442 or 604-356-3082.
