Nohomin Creek Wildfire (K70580)

The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) is monitoring the situation with regard to the Nohomin Creek wildfire (K70580), and is engaging with the various agencies involved.

BC Wildfire Service is reporting that this fire is approximately 1.7 kilometres northwest of Lytton, B.C., on the west side of the Fraser River.

Parts of the Thompson-Nicola Regional District and the Lytton First Nation are currently impacted by this wildfire.

While there is no current risk to SLRD properties, an evacuation alert issued by the Thompson-Nicola Regional District does include an area up to the SLRD Electoral Area B boundary.

  • No areas within the SLRD are currently under Evacuation Alert or Order in relation to this wildfire.

The SLRD will continue to monitor this situation, and will provide updates as information becomes available, or the situation changes.
