The SLRD is seeking to fill two positions available on our team:

Director of Engineering Services (permanent, full-time)

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this senior management position is responsible for directing the management and operations of public utilities and infrastructure, including the implementation of the Solid Waste and Resource Management Plan for the Regional District. The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, and at least five or more years of experience in a management position, preferably in local government.

Accounting Technician (permanent, part-time)

Reporting to the Director of Finance, this intermediate-level part-time position (avg. 20 hours per week) encompasses a variety of accounting tasks including posting journal entires, monthly account reconciliations and creating various financial reports. The ideal candidate will have experience with various computer programs, and at least three years' experience in an accounting technician role, preferably in local government. A minimum of intermediate skills in Excel is essential. This role will best suit a detail-oriented individual.
