NOTICE OF INCREASING WATER RESTRICTIONS
Furry Creek and Britannia Beach Water Systems
The South Coast and Lower Fraser areas are currently at a Level 4 drought rating due to ongoing low stream flows. Conditions are extremely dry and any further declines in stream, lake and aquifer levels could lead to water shortages and affect people, industry such as agriculture, wildlife, and fish stocks. All water users are urged to minimize their water use.
The SLRD asks that all residents comply with this water restriction notice and adhere to the permitted times for sprinkling and irrigation immediately until further notice. These practices are imperative to preserve the water supply.
Please limit your water use for sprinkling and irrigation to the following times:
Days Permitted | Times Permitted |
---|---|
Even numbered addresses on even numbered days | 7 AM to 9 AM (Day)
7 PM to 9 PM (Evening) |
Odd numbered addresses on odd numbered days | 7 AM to 9 AM (Day)
7 PM to 9 PM (Evening) |
All underground irrigation systems must also be programmed to adhere to the posted times.
If you have any questions, please contact the SLRD Utilities & Environmental Services Department.
