Residents of the Reid Road area, including all properties along Jason and Munge Creeks, are invited to attend a community Town Hall meeting:
- Saturday, March 26, 2022
- 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
- Pemberton Community Centre Grand Hall (7390 Cottonwood Street, Pemberton BC)
- Zoom registration for virtual participation: https://ca01web.zoom.us/j/68530553984
The purpose of the Town Hall meeting is to provide the opportunity for a two-way dialogue between the affected residents (in this case, all residents in the Reid Road/ Jason Creek area), and the various governments, agencies and others who are involved in the response and recovery processes that are affecting them.
There will be a presentation, followed with a Q&A session.
It is anticipated that there will be a presentation from BGC Engineering, with representatives from the SLRD, Emergency Management BC, the Canadian Red Cross and the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure attending either in-person, or remotely.
West-Vancouver-Sea to Sky MLA, Jordan Sturdy and West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country MP Patrick Weiler have been invited to attend.
All current COVID-19 safety protocols as per the Pemberton Community Centre’s safety plan will apply for those attending in person.
While this is a public meeting, the focus will be on communicating information to, and hearing from, residents of the area affected by the Jason Creek and Munge Creek flood and debris flow events of November and December 2021
