As severe drought conditions persist across the province, the Government of British Columbia is urging everyone to do their part to conserve water.
Electoral Area D is currently experiencing a drought level 5 (the highest drought level). In response, Pinecrest, Britannia Beach and Furry Creek water system users are being asked to conserve water through increased watering and sprinkling restrictions:
All sprinkling and irrigation are prohibited.
Using a garden hose to wash outdoor surfaces, including sidewalks, driveways and washing recreational vehicles is prohibited.
Hand watering, drip irrigation, or vegetable garden watering is permitted.
