Province Offers Guidance to Retail Food and Grocery Stores Operating During COVID-19

The Provincial Government has issed an order under the Public Health Act prohibiting the gathering of groups in excess of 50 people. 

The Province has shared guidelines for what this means for grocery store and retail store operators.

While the Provincial Order does not apply directly to the retail food and grocery industry, the Province is asking that the spirit of the Order be followed.

For eample, in large grocery stores where it is feasible to have more than 50 people present at one time, it is permissible to do so provided that appropriate physical distancing is maintained.
