RBC GranFondo cycling event traffic and service impacts (Saturday, September 9)

Major road lane closures, traffic stoppages and detours will be in effect along the Sea to Sky corridor on Saturday, September 9, 2017 due to the annual RBC GranFondo cycling event.

The closures will be in place from 5:30am until 4:30pm.

The event course stretches from Stanley Park in Vancouver, over the Lions Gate Bridge, along Marine Drive, Taylor Way, Hwy 1 and Hwy 99 all the way to Whistler. The finish line is in Day Lot 4 in Whistler Village.

DriveBC is urging motorists who plan to travel on the day to watch for reduced speed limits and changes in traffic signals, and to obey signs and traffic control personnel. 

If you plan to travel by road on these days, please familiarize yourself with this information so you can plan ahead and avoid travel delays.
