Recent snowfall has delayed the anticipated completion of the Telford Bridge replacement project.

The concrete truck was not able to make it to the structure to pour the end posts for the bridge. The Ministry of Transportation has advised that, before the bridge is safe to open to the travelling public, the end posts need to be poured and cured for a minimum of two days and barricades need to be attached.

The crew is hoping that the truck will be able to make it to the site in the next few days, if the weather relents.

A tentative opening date for the Bridge, and road, is Wednesday, March 15th in the late afternoon.

The Ministry of Transportation will update us of the situation on Monday, March 13, to confirm this opening date, or advise of any other updates.

Last week, as shown in the photos below, the contractors completed concrete finishing on the north and south abutments, backfill and compaction on both north and south approaches, and the installation of deck stringers and bridge deck timbers.
