Regional Business Liaison position created to help with pandemic business recovery
Provincial funding supports Squamish-Lillooet Regional District position
In June, 2021, the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) announced the creation of the Regional Business Liaison (RBL) position to provide support to businesses and organizations in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Regional Business Liaison is a one-year term position, funded by a provincial grant program administered by Northern Development Initiatives Trust (NDIT).
The RBL will work with businesses and non-profits to help them connect to the senior government assistance programs that are available during the recovery phase of the pandemic. The position is one of 12 funded through NDIT, and reports to the SLRD’s Communications and Engagement Manager, within the scope of that department’s role in economic development for the region.
