An application to amend both the Upper Bridge River Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw 670, 1999 has been submitted by Michael Kidston Land Surveying on behalf of David Keir.  The (late) owner (Helen Keir) of the three properties has passed away, and the son David Keir is executor of the will.  He is seeking to rezone the properties to facilitate a subdivision in accordance with the desires of Mrs. Keir.  The application proposes to rezone all three lots to a Residential zone, which would then facilitate a subdivision that would create four waterfront lots and two remainder (non-waterfront) lots above the road.

Application Status:

The rezoning application has been approved.  The OCP and Zoning Amendment Bylaws received 1st reading at the July 28, 2014.  The proposed bylaws received 2nd reading at the October 1, 2014 Board meeting.  The public hearing was held on October 23, 2014.  The applicant worked to resolve a variety of outstanding issues on the proposal before it could be brought back to the SLRD Board.  In January 2018 the proposed bylaws received 3rd reading and were adopted.
