Tiger Bay Developments Ltd. submitted a revised rezoning application in July 2019 for an 87.6 ha. (216.5 acre) portion of its site in South Britannia in order to accommodate a comprehensive mixed use development.  The application is presently under staff review.  The Zoning and Official Community Plan amendment bylaws received 1st reading on December 15, 2021. 

Current Status

The Board gave 2nd reading to the amendment bylaws at the July 26, 2023 SLRD Board meeting.
A public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the Britannia Mining Museum multi-purpose room, 150 Copper Drive, Britannia Beach. See the Notice page for full details.
