Overview

The SLRD adopted a site-specific zoning amendment for 9120 Riverside Drive in WedgeWoods in September 2019. The property is zoned Comprehensive Development One (CD1) in Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Electoral Area Zoning Bylaw No. 765, 2002. The zoning amendment allows for pension use with 10 guest rooms accommodating up to 20 guests as a permitted use on the property. 

Current Status

At the June 26, 2019 Board Meeting, the SLRD Board resolved to give Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Area C Zoning Bylaw No. 765, 2002, Amendment Bylaw No. 1637-2019 second reading and direct staff to schedule a public hearing. 

A public hearing was held in Whistler on July 30, 2019. Comments from the public hearing are included in the staff report linked below. 

At the August 28, 2019 Board Meeting, the SLRD Board resolved to give Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Area C Zoning Bylaw No. 765, 2002, Amendment Bylaw No. 1637-2019 third reading and direct staff to refer the bylaw to the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI) for approval prior to adoption. 

The zoning amendment was adopted at the September 18, 2019 SLRD Board Meeting.
