Be Prepared
The SLRD can experience several natural hazards (wildfires, earthquakes) and extreme weather events (flooding, storms) that may pose a risk to life or safety.
Be ready for emergencies:
- Learn about hazards and risks in your area
- Have emergency kits and grab-and-go bags readily available in your home or business.
- Have the right insurance in place
- Plan to stay with family and friends in the event of an evacuation
