The public hearing for Electoral Area C Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1549-2017 will be held on Wednesday August 15, 2018 at 7 pm in the Great Hall at the Pemberton and District Community Centre, 7390 Cottonwood Street, Pemberton, BC.
Community Open Houses
An update report on the SLRD Electoral Area C Zoning Amendment Bylaw NO. 1549-2017 is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 as part of the June SLRD Board and Committee of the Whole meetings.
The update report includes summaries of the Questions and Answers and Comments received at the April 11, 2018 Public Information Meeting.
The meeting will take place at the Ts'zil Learning Centre in Mount Currie (367 IR 10 Road).
A public hearing has been scheduled for the Britannia Oceanfront Developments rezoning application. The Public Hearing will be held on Monday June 18, 2018 at 7pm at the Britannia Beach Community Hall.

A public hearing has been scheduled for Thursday, June 7 at 6 pm at the Bralorne Pub at 3900 Pioneer Road, Bralorne, BC. The original location was the Bralorne Church Hall, however, the meeting has been relocated to the pub due to plumbing issues at the Church. The public hearing will consider Land Use Contract Discharge Bylaw No. 1578-2018, Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 1580-2018, and Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1579-2018.

The BC Ministry of Agriculture and its partners conducted an Agricultural Land Use Inventory (ALUI) for the District of Squamish and Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Electoral Area D in the summer of 2017. The ALUI was funded in part by District of Squamish, Squamish-Lillooet Regional District, and Growing Forward 2, a federal-provincial territorial initiative.
In April 2017, the Government of Canada introduced Bill C-45 (the Cannabis Act) and Bill C-46 (the Act to amend the Criminal Code) with plans to make non-medical (i.e. recreational) cannabis legal in Canada by July 2018. While the proposed Cannabis Act provides an overall framework for cannabis legalization and regulation, it also provides authorities for all levels of government.
