Contract opportunity: Area B, District of Lillooet & St'at'imc Agricultural Plan Implementation Coordinator

The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District is seeking a contractor to take on the task of implementing two high priority recommended actions from the newly adopted SLRD Area B, District of Lillooet & St'at'imc Agricultural Plan. 

This full-time, 6-month term contract will focus on the following:

Community Consultation & Information Sharing Sessions: Commercial Assembly Uses & Events in the SLRD

The SLRD is hosting two Information Sharing & Consultation Sessions regarding commercial public assembly uses in the SLRD. Meetings will take place in Pemberton and Squamish - see below for details.

2013 Regional Growth Strategy / Integrated Sustainability Plan Monitoring Report

Under the Local Government Act, a regional district with a Regional Growth Strategy (RGS) must establish a program to monitor its implementation and the progress made towards its objectives. An important component of this is an annual report on that implementation and progress. 

To create a more efficient monitoring program for the SLRD, indicators that measure progress toward the RGS and also satisfy the monitoring requirements for the Integrated Sustainability Plan (ISP) were selected. 

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING: Waldorf School Society Zoning Amendment Application

Please be advised that a Public Hearing will take place regarding the Whistler Waldorf School Society Zoning Amendment Application on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.

PURPOSE OF BYLAW 1368-2014 & 1369-2014:

Whistler Waldorf School (WWS) submitted a rezoning application to build a permanent school facility on a <3 hectare parcel of leased Crown Land, immediately adjacent to and north of the WedgeWoods subdivision. The bylaw amendments propose to do the following:

Guide to SLRD Planning Services available in Britannia Beach - now available

The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District has created a guide to highlight the local government planning services available in Britannia Beach. The intention is to increase awareness as to the role of regional districts in general and the SLRD Planning & Development Department in particular, as well as to provide information as to the relevant bylaws, plans and development permit areas that apply in Britannia Beach. 

Public Hearing: Area D Agricultural Zoning and Medical Marihuana regulations

A public hearing has been scheduled for Monday October 20, 7 pm in the Tantalus Room at the Sea to Sky Hotel in Squamish for Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw No. 1312-2014 and Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1308-2014 regarding agriculture zoning for the Upper Squamish Valley and medical marihuana regulations.
