Street Lighting
Street lighting and roads in particular locations in the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District are managed and maintained by the Environmental Services Department. The SLRD provides street lighting services for:
- Gold Bridge
- Bralorne
- Seton Portage
- Pavilion
- D’Arcy
- Furry Creek
- Britannia Beach

Roads
The provincial Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure builds, manages, and maintains most of the roads and highways in the SLRD.
The provincial Ministry of Forests manages and maintains all Forest Service Roads (FSR) in the SLRD. Forest Service Roads (FSR) status updates are found in Road Conditions in the Sea to Sky District.
The SLRD Environmental Services department is responsible for improvements to Upper Cheakamus Road (Tunnel Station) in the Paradise Valley. The SLRD maintains approximately 1 kilometre of the Upper Cheakamus Road. For issues with this road only, please complete the Report an Issue form below or contact the Environmental Services Department. If the condition of the road constitutes a safety hazard, please phone the Environmental Services Department immediately at 604 894 6371.

Road Maintenance & Snow Removal
If you live within an electoral area, roads are under the authority of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, which subcontracts road maintenance and snow removal.
Miller Capilano Highway Services Ltd. (MCHS) maintains the TransCanada Highway #1 from the east side of the Cassiar Tunnel to Horseshoe Bay. This includes the Iron Workers Memorial (Second Narrows) Bridge, the Upper Levels Highway (through North Vancouver & West Vancouver), Highway 99, the Lions Gate Bridge, & the Stanley Park Causeway. MCHS maintains Highway 99 from Function Junction to Duffey Lake, this includes Highway 99 through Whistler & Pemberton. Secondary roads near Squamish-Lillooet Regional District are maintained as well.
Lillooet and surrounding areas are serviced by Dawson Road Maintenance. Communities and areas serviced include Lillooet, Shalalth, Seton Portage, Bralorne, Gold Bridge and Gun Lake, Bridge River First Nation community, Xaxli’p (Fountain) community and the Pavilion Community.
