Fire Services Review
In 2013, the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) undertook a Review of its various fire services serving Britannia Beach, Garibaldi, Birken, Bralorne, Gun Lake and Seton Valley. The review included an analysis of the administrative and governance structures under which these services are provided, to ensure they comply with all the current legislation and regulations.

Fire Services Coordinator - Request for Proposals
The SLRD invites proposals for a Fire Services Coordinator contract position for a period of 1 year to assist with the reorganization of the SLRD’s fire services and the implementation of the balance of the recommendations from the SLRD Fire Services Review.
The ideal candidate for this position will offer recent experience with a fire department in British Columbia as a certified training officer, safety officer or community fire services coordinator.

The Regional Growth Strategy (RGS) is a long-term strategic planning document, used to guide local government Official Community Plans and bylaws in regards to future growth in the SLRD. The RGS presents a 20-year vision for the livability of the region; it identifies and prioritizes goals across the region to meet common social, economic, and environmental objectives. It addresses regional issues such as land use, transportation, housing, economic development, social issues, ecological stewardship, parks and natural areas, and regional services.
