Electoral Area C
Overview
The SLRD is in the process of amending residential policies in the Electoral Area C Official Community Plan bylaw. The following minor text amendments are proposed to policies under the Rural Residential land use designation section to support the provision of a range of housing choices, and align with other SLRD bylaws and policies:
- Revising the policy for permitted uses in Rural Residential areas to include allowances for multiunit residential and accessory dwelling units in some areas.
- Revising the minimum parcel size policies to allow for consideration of multiunit and duplex developments, subject to soil conditions, hazard conditions, and proof of water and wastewater disposal.
An electronic Public Hearing will be held for this subject bylaw on Wednesday, April 30th at 7pm. Details on how to join the Public Hearing will be posted here 3 days prior to the Public Hearing.
Current Status
The subject bylaw has been given First and Second Reading by the SLRD Board of Directors. It is now being sent out for referral comments and an electronic Public Hearing has been scheduled.
