The SLRD is currently updating and expanding its mitigation program to soon include free FireSmart assessments for Farms and Ranches along with other activities and incentives.

Producers who wish to participate in the SLRD's residential FireSmart program can receive a free FireSmart assessment for homes located on an agricultural property.
Wildfire Preparedness Workshops
In May 2024, the SLRD hosted two Wildfire Preparedness Workshops providing tools and resources to aid in wildfire preparation for agricultural properties in the region.
