Location: 7.5 km at Catiline Creek
What’s happening:
Traffic will be rerouted to a temporary crossing of Catiline Creek to accommodate the excavation of the creek and installation of a new permanent bridge by the Ministry of Forests.
Dates:
- Traffic is directed to the bypass from April 1, 2026 to July 2026.
- The window for the new permanent bridge installation by the Ministry of Forests is Mid April to July.
What to Expect:
- No closures or traffic delays are anticipated.

Hauling will resume on April 7 over a short stretch of the FSR. Trucks will move fill from the Catiline Creek Debris Flow Mitigation project site at 7.5 km to a road realignment project site at 6.5 km. The road realignment project is being managed by the Ministry of Forests.
What to expect:
- High volume of industrial traffic from 6.0 km to 7.5 km
- Loaded highway rock trucks on the FSR. Trucks will be loaded travelling from 7.5 km to 6.5 km, returning empty.

Tree felling is planned beside the In-SHUCK-ch FSR and the BC Hydro lines from Wednesday November 26 to Friday December 5.

December 23, 2025 Holiday Schedule - Construction activities at Lillooet Lake Estates will be reduced during the holiday period. Some limited operations including open burning may occur as and when ventilation conditions permit, excluding statutory holidays.

December 5, 2025 update - Notice of burning at Lillooet Lake Estates. Open burning will be conducted over the coming weeks to burn piles resulting from tree clearing activities at Lillooet Lake Estates, at 7.5 km on the In-SHUCK-ch Forest Service Road. This work is being undertaken by Coastal Mountain Excavations Ltd. (CME) for the Catiline Creek Debris Flow Mitigation project.
Burning will take place as and when ventilation conditions permit, starting as early as Saturday December 6, 2025. Once burning starts, it will continue for 24 hours a day as permitted by the conditions.
Smoke from piles may be visible to surrounding communities and travelers on the In-SHUCK-ch Forest Service Road. Pile burning will only proceed if conditions are favourable.

November 18, 2025 update - The SLRD is pleased to advise that on-site work for the Catiline Creek debris flow mitigation project at Lillooet Lake Estates is scheduled to resume on November 19, 2025. Work had been paused on November 7, 2025 in order to evaluate, strengthen and give reverence to the integral archaeological and cultural elements of the project, including sharing and facilitating discussions of the SLRD’s Indigenous Relations, Truth & Reconciliation: In Practice—A Guide for Working in a Good Way (“the Guide”) with the project team. The Guide was recently approved by the SLRD Board at its monthly Board meeting in October.
During this pause at the Catiline Creek worksite, which is on the Traditional Territory of Líl̓wat Nation, the SLRD worked to develop a coordinated approach to ensure the SLRD and its project partners are working in alignment with the values identified in the Guide (respect, reciprocity, responsibility and courage).
Planned activities for the next 1-3 weeks include:
- Tree clearing above and below the in-SHUCK-ch FSR
- Burning at locations above and below the FSR, depending on the venting index. Burning may proceed through the evenings and into the night.
- Structure removal
Planned work is subject to weather conditions.

October 15, 2025 update - Contractor plans to start tree clearing below the in-SHUCK-ch FSR the week of October 14. Anticipated areas of work are highlighted in red in the image below.
September 26, 2025 update - This week Coastal Mountain Excavations Ltd. began survey and layout. On the week of October 6 CME will mobilize equipment and start tree clearing below the in-SHUCK-ch FSR.
