Based on consultation with the British Columbia Wildfire Service, the SLRD has assessed that the potential danger to life and health due to the Bonanza Creek wildfire has subsided to the degree that the Evacuation Alert, issued pursuant to Section 95 (1) of the BC Emergency and Disaster Management Act, by the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District in Electoral Area A, is no longer required.

An Evacuation Alert may need to be reissued for the properties in the Rescind area. If that is deemed necessary, the Evacuation Alert process will be recommenced.
