Based on consultation with the British Columbia Wildfire Service, the SLRD has assessed that the
potential danger to life and health due to the Bonanza Creek wildfire has subsided to the degree that the Evacuation Alert, issued pursuant to Section 95 (1) of the BC Emergency and Disaster
Management Act, by the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District on August 28, 2026 in Electoral Area A, is no longer required.
The following properties have had the Evacuation Alert rescinded:
• Areas North and East of Tyaughton Lake, North of Liza Lake, and East-central portions of the South Chilcotin Mountains Provincial Park
• All SLRD properties as outlined in the attached map.
An Evacuation Alert may need to be reissued for the properties in the Rescind Area. If that
is deemed necessary, the Evacuation Alert process will be recommenced.

An Evacuation Alert has been issued to prepare you to evacuate your premises should it be found necessary. Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible before evacuation; however, you may receive limited notice due to rapidly changing conditions.
An Evacuation Alert may need to be reissued for the properties in the Rescind Area. If that
is deemed necessary, the Evacuation Alert process will be recommenced.
