Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Communications and Engagement Department is responsible for:
- Communications planning for SLRD programs, services and initiatives
- Community relations
- Coordination of print advertising, notices, and newsletters
- Coordination of signage
- Development of brochures and information materials
- Media relations
- News releases and community advisories
- Website development and content management
Department staff are also responsible for the role of Information Officer in the event of an activation of the SLRD’s Emergency Operations Centre.
