A land-based recovery table was formed to address the various ongoing environmental recovery initiatives and ensure local representation, insight, and input.
The SLRD, in partnership with a number of Gun Lake residents, has been working with Cariboo Carbon Solutions (CCS) on an initiative that will replant seedling trees on affected private properties at no cost to landowners. CCS will develop replanting plans in collaboration with individual landowners to best suit the replanting needs of their property. As this is a multiple year project, if you missed the July 31, 2024 intake form deadline or if your circumstances change over the coming year, and you would like to register, please do not hesitate to submit an intake form.
To participate, property owners must complete a CCS Private Landowner Intake Form to confirm interest in this program. Email completed forms to: andrew@cariboocarbon.ca as soon as possible.
