Current Evacuation Alerts and Orders in the SLRD

There are multiple wildfires affecting communities across the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District. This is a list of Evacuation Orders and Alerts that are currently issued within the SLRD as of July 25, 2026.

BC Wildfire Services importing crews and resources to support wildfire response in B.C.

As wildfire activity increases across British Columbia, the BC Wildfire Service is bringing in additional personnel from across Canada and internationally to strengthen wildfire response capacity. Incoming crews from Yukon, Alberta and Mexico will support ongoing suppression efforts, help maintain safe operations and allow BC Wildfire Service personnel time to rest between deployments. BC Wildfire Service continues to work with the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre and other partners to bring in additional resources as needed.

Road and highway impacts

Pavilion-Clinton Rd closed in both directions between Clinton and Mowich Road due to wildfire.

Evacuation contingency protocols in place for Highway 99 Soo River Bridge construction site
The Ministry of Transportation and Transit has issued a release regarding their planned work on the Soo River Bridge and their contingency plans to support any evacuations that might have to take place while construction continues at the Soo River Bridge on Highway 99 about 11kms south of Pemberton. Miller Capilano Highway Services will be carrying out bridge work requiring 24/7 single-lane alternating traffic for approximately 40 days starting on July 20, 2026. Traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic signals operating on a timer, with cycle lengths adjusted based on traffic volumes. Please read the entire statement on the BC Gov News website. 

24/7 agricultural emergency support

If your farm, ranch or agricultural operation is affected by wildfire or evacuation measures and you need assistance coordinating livestock, animals or other agriculture-related emergency needs, support is available.

Impacted agricultural producers can contact the SLRD’s Agricultural Coordinator directly at 604-384-7329. 

Please reach out early if you anticipate needing assistance. Connecting with the SLRD before an evacuation becomes urgent can help identify needs and support coordination with response agencies and other partners.

Premises ID
If you own livestock, bees or poultry, it is not too late to sign up or make sure your Premises ID information is up to date. A Premises ID helps emergency responders identify the location of animals during an emergency and supports communication and response efforts during evacuations.
