Based on consultation with the British Columbia Wildfire Service, the Evacuation Alert issued by the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District on August 23, 2026 in Electoral Area B due to the Pear Lake (C40983) wildfire which has been updated to exclude properties that are no longer on Evacuation Alert as of August 31, 2026 at 1700 hours.
Because of the potential danger to life and health, the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District has maintained an Evacuation Alert for the following properties:

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
• Pre-register for Emergency Support Services online at: ESS.gov.bc.ca
• Locate all family members and designate a meeting area outside of the evacuation area, should an Evacuation Order be called while separated.
• Pack essential items such as government-issued ID, medications, eyeglasses, valuable papers e.g., insurance, credit, and mortgage information), immediate care needs for dependents and, if time and space permits, keepsakes for quick departure.
• Prepare to move people who may need additional time to evacuate, children and/or neighbours who would require assistance.
• If you require assistance, call the 24/7 SLRD Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) on-call Duty Manager at 604-384-7357.
• Impacted or concerned agricultural producers are asked to please contact the SLRD Agricultural Coordinator directly at 604-384-7329 and refer to the Ministry of Agriculture re-entry and recovery guide.
• Prepare to take pets with you and move livestock to a safe area (if possible).
• Arrange transportation and accommodations for all your household members, if possible, and fill the gas tanks of personal vehicles.
• Wait for an Evacuation Order to be issued before evacuating.
