Britannia Beach and Furry Creek Curbside Collection Service Notice

The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District, in partnership with GFL Squamish, will not collect curbside totes containing:

• Hazardous material, such as, but not limited to, sharps (knives, syringes), motor oil, motor oil filters, batteries, electronics, and items that are flammable, corrosive, toxic or explosive. These items can cause fires in collection vehicles and waste facilities.
• Items not accepted in the curbside totes such as, but not limited to, furniture, construction material, scrap metal. These items can damage costly collection equipment when they are tipped.

How will I know if my tote was not collected due to it containing hazardous material or items that are not accepted in the curbside tote?

• Our knowledgeable Tune-Up Team will leave a tag with a yellow heading containing a message explaining why your tote was not serviced.
• The tote will be tied shut, turned around and walked away from the curb.

Please remove the items and bring them to the appropriate facility.
