IRONMAN Canada and the Pemberton Meadows agricultural community

IRONMAN, the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD), and Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI) have been working to address concerns raised by representatives from Pemberton’s agricultural community about the July 24 event.
 
Representatives from all organizations were available on July 5 to address specific concerns from local growers. None were presented.
 
Although the Pemberton Meadows Road is closed from 9:30 am until 3:30pm, to all non-event traffic, except for emergency vehicles, by order of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI), there may be windows on the edges of that closure, that could potentially accommodate critical agricultural activities, if the IRONMAN team has sufficient advance notice to pre-plan those movements.
 
If farmers anticipate needing to conduct agricultural activities, that cannot be rescheduled to a day other than July 24, please email canada@ironman.com so the IRONMAN team can assess the feasibility and safety of accommodating that request.
