Pemberton North Water System Hydrant Flushing

REMINDER!

Please be advised that on Thursday and Friday, May 5th & 6th, 2016, the Pemberton North Water Distribution System will undergo its annual hydrant flushing.

Disruptions to the water service will be minimal.  

Flushing can improve water quality by reducing the sediment that comes from the inside of the pipes and flushing will decrease the rate of bacterial growth. It can also improve taste, odour & colour.

Our aim is to run the water until it is completely clear, but you may experience some of the following in
a very limited capacity:

• Water pressure may be temporarily reduced.
• You may experience temporary discoloration of water. If so, run water up to five to ten minutes - this should clear it up.
• Refrain from using a washing machine during this time.
