Land Use Inventory Report - Electoral Area B and Lillooet

In the summer of 2013, the BC Ministry of Agriculture conducted an Agricultural Land Use Inventory in the District of Lillooet and Electoral Area B of the SLRD. The Inventory was funded in part by the SLRD and the Investment Agriculture Foundation of BC. The Land Use Inventory can be used to understand which agricultural activities are occurring in the surveyed area. The data provides an estimate of the capacity for agricultural expansion and quantifies the amount of land within the Agricultural Land Reserve that is unavailable for agriculture. The data can also be used to estimate agricultural water demand with the use of an irrigation water demand model.
