Electoral Area C
Overview
The SLRD is in the process of updating the Electoral Area C Zoning Bylaw No. 765, 2002. The minor amendments include:
- Revising the definition of bed and breakfast
- Adding provisions for emergency shelter use in most zones
- Updating numbering in the bylaw
- Revising the existing Ponderosa Estates zone so that it better reflects the original Land Use Contract
- Adding an event tent definition for gathering for events on agricultural land
- Bringing gathering for events policies in line with ALC regulations, by increasing the length of time from 2 to 90 days for non-permanent tents on agricultural land for events
Current Status
Adoption of this bylaw will be considered at the May 27, 2026, Board meeting.
