The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District is completing the installation of civic address signs for properties in Electoral Area B with an assigned civic address, including the Texas Creek, Highway 12, and Kelly Lake/Pear Lake Road areas.
Clear and visible civic address signage supports efficient property location for emergency response and public safety.
This phase of the project will see installation of approximately 142 remaining assigned civic address signs. Installation will be completed by qualified contractors procured in accordance with SLRD Purchasing Policy No. 34-2022 to ensure a fair and transparent process.
Affected property owners will receive advance notification prior to installation. Project communications are expected to begin in June 2026, with installation taking place in the September 2026, subject to contractor scheduling.
In addition to this work, the SLRD has established a region-wide civic addressing program supported through Community Works Funds (see report here), which will allow property owners to request civic address signs at no cost, subject to available funding, to improve address coverage and support emergency response.
Property owners can check their civic address using our interactive map, or apply for one by contacting planning@slrd.bc.ca.
