Lillooet Landfill & Recycling Centre New Tipping Fees – Effective August 1, 2026

Tipping fees at the Lillooet Landfill & Recycling Centre will increase as of August 1, 2026.

The Lillooet Landfill Fees and Charges Regulation Amendment Bylaw No. 1967-2026 was presented at the May 27, 2026, Board meeting and adopted. 

The current tipping fees cover an average of 35% of the operating cost. The proposed amendment bylaw supports the operational cost and diversion programs. The landfill operations are currently funded by a combination of requisition and tipping fees. The increase in tipping fees supports the financial sustainability of landfill operations by advancing full cost recovery, reinforcing the user-pay principle, and helping to ensure the long-term operational and environmental viability of the waste management system.

The Lillooet Landfill Fees and Charges Regulation Amendment Bylaw No. 1967-2026 will be available on the SLRD website as of August 1, 2026.
