In July 2024, the Agricultural Land Commission approved a Non-Farm Use application for the proposed rafting staging use. As the use is not permitted under the current zoning, the applicant is seeking a TUP for a three-year term, with the option to renew for an additional three years.
The proposed use would occupy approximately 0.8 ha of the 17-ha parcel and operate seasonally from April to October, accommodating between 20 and 100 clients per day. The subject property is located within the Agricultural Land Reserve, holds farm status, and is zoned and designated for Agriculture.
