Wind warning issued for Howe Sound

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for Howe Sound.

A Pacific low pressure system is expected to approach the B.C. coast this evening. This system, in combination with a ridge of high pressure over the B.C. interior, will produce strong northerly outflow winds up to 70 km/h over the southern sections of Howe Sound. The winds are expected to ease Thursday morning as the system weakens.
