On September 20, 2015 a significant rain event occurred causing several debris flow and flooding events throughout Electoral Areas B, C and D of the SLRD. Below is an update as to the status of the various events:
Note from the SLRD: The Snowfall Warning below was issued by Environment Canada and impacts SLRD Area D and the District of Squamish, and people travelling through the Sea to Sky Corridor. Environment Canada has also issued a Special Weather Statement for the Whistler/Pemberton area in advance of the expected storm.

The coming storm has also prompted a Snowfall warning for Howe Sound (Sea to Sky - West Vancouver to District of Squamish).

Pinecrest Water Service Repair
Works will be undertaken to locate a water leak within the Pinecrest Estates water distribution. There may be intermittent water service interruptions and water discolouration during the following period:

Rain, at times heavy, is expected.
A moisture-laden frontal system will move today the south coast today. Rain has developed early this morning and will intensify in the afternoon. 60 to 90 millimetres of rain will fall by Monday before the front weakens and exits the area.
