Project overview
The Seton Firehall, constructed in 1993, serves as a critical public safety hub for the community, housing both Fire Services and BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS). Following collaborative discussions with Tsal’alh and BCEHS in early 2025, an opportunity was identified to enhance emergency response capacity and resilience through a facility expansion.
The proposed expansion includes an additional apparatus bay, upgraded support facilities, a dedicated washroom, and office/meeting room. These improvements will accommodate additional storage of response equipment and apparatus, while reducing the need for shared operational space between services.
The planned improvements will strengthen integrated emergency response coordination between fire and ambulance services, increase emergency response capacity, and protect and extend the life of public infrastructure. This investment will help ensure the SLRD can continue to provide reliable, safe, and effective emergency services to the Seton area for years to come.
