Do you live in Electoral Area C? Do you want to help make your community a better place? How do you feel about land uses and regulation in your neighbourhood?
The SLRD is conducting a review of the Official Community Plan and zoning bylaw (land use regulation) that applies to Electoral Area C. The process has begun, and we want to hear your thoughts on the directions that have been developed to improve the policies and regulations guiding land use in your community.
Public Meeting/Open House
When? Wednesday February 8th, 2017
Time? 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Where? In the Boardroom of the SLRD offices (1350 Aster Street, Pemberton, BC. – 2nd Floor)
Why? To review the the Official Community Plan and zoning bylaw.
One of the primary purposes of this project is to implement the Pemberton Valley Agricultural Area Plan which was approved by the SLRD Board in 2015 by incorporating its directions into the OCP and Zoning Bylaw.
Official Community Plans and Zoning bylaws are typically reviewed every five to ten years in order to ensure that the regulations are current and reflect the needs of the community. Both the OCP and the Zoning Bylaw are over ten years old and both need updating.
How can I get involved?
