Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) Hosts First Virtual Board Meeting in Response to COVID-19

Public Invited to Watch Meeting Online

Pemberton, BC – The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) will host its first virtual Board Meeting, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the need for physical distancing to contribute to slowing transmission of the virus.

The SLRD Board Meeting will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 and is available for viewing through livestream on the SLRD website. The meeting link can be accessed from the Board Meetings link under “Quick Links” on the main page, or here: /inside-slrd/meetings-agendas

The SLRD Administration Building, located at 1350 Aster Street in Pemberton, B.C., has been closed to the public since end of day on March 18, 2020. Most employees have been working remotely since that time, while a reduced crew remains onsite to direct enquiries, coordinate equipment, process documents and invoices.

At this time, the Planning Department and the Building Department continue to receive and process land use applications, approvals and permits. However, the SLRD is able to accept documents via the following options only (courier is no longer an option):

The SLRD continues to follow the most current advice and direction from the Provincial Health Officer and the Province of British Columbia to protect individuals and reduce transmission of the virus. The SLRD is committed to ensuring that services to the community remain in place, while taking the necessary measures to protect the health and safety of its employees and residents.
